This blog is obviously for Vash. We thought it only fair that since he existed for 19 months before we started the family blog, that we should try and write down as many things as we could possibly remember about him so that we would have it just as well documented as the rest of his life will be. So, things wont be written chronologically, and these blogs are mostly for us, his parents, but you might enjoy a story or two anyway.

Swimmy Swimmy Boy
Vash was really disappointed when the water at the Hampton was too cold to swim in. This reminded me how much he loves swimming. We used to take him swimming at Nana and Papa's pool, and at the pool in Grandma and Grandpa's apartment complex. This last summer we even put him in swim lessons at Aqua Tots. I took the class with him and he seemed to really like it. We practiced putting our face in the water to blow bubbles and grab rings. We learned to float and swim on our backs under a hippo bridge. We learned to monkey walk and Vash learned to be passed under water while holding his breath. I remember how cute he looked when he'd come up, water streaming down his face, blinking his eyes wildly, and taking in a big gulp of air. And I loved his big padded bottom. Not just wearing a swim diaper, but also a washable second (Just to be safe) diaper, and his pooh bear swim shorts. My little super white, easily burned, chubby cheek bubbas, covered in sun screen, and a sun cap. Those were the days. At the end of swim lessons he even earned two ribbons. Expert Monkey Walker and Junior Bubble Blower. (I'll post pictures of them when we get home.) Despite the ridiculous heat of living in Mesa, I'm very excited about summer coming again, just so that Vash can be swimmy swimmy boy again.
